Once upon a time, in China...

There lived a Nightingale and his Emperor. Driven only by the love he had for his ruler, the bird would sing everyday to a man blinded by beauty.

Madness. Desperation.

Oh how he longed to get through to the Emperor, if but for a few moments. And yet... This was impossible. The Nightingale was a plain, grey creature, whereas The Emperor was a golden being. A dragon. A god. He had no chance. Who would listen to the words of a peasant?

....

The ending is obvious, is it not? The Emperor eventually comes to and sees his folly. Artifice is lost, sight gained. The ending is happy. The day is gone.

But, there's much more than a simple fairytale can tell, dear children.

A kidnapping. A rescue mission.

And thus... The story /really/ begins.

xD SO. I decided to test out Paint.NET. Which is the kickass version of Paint. WHOOWHOO. This'll probably be a quickie, but I DID make a long version of the story. That drags out. Forever. xDDD

Oh. And the title of this comik comes from Guang Liang's "Tong Hua", or Fairy Tale. You should totally check it out.
